The programs listed below are one-time visits with specific themes. Briar Bush also offers multiple-visit contracts specifically geared towards Pre-K to 6th graders or afterschool care.

Live Animal Programs
  • Critters to Kids –Why do animals behave and look the way they do? Discover how different animals adapt to survive in challenging environments.
  • Reptiles are the Rage – Live specimens allow students to experience and learn about reptiles from all over the world in this fact-filled program.
  • Snakes Alive! – Most snakes have developed a fascinating array of behaviors to find food. See and touch a variety of snakes and learn their unique characteristics.
  • World’s Most Wanted – Explore the effects of human impact on local and global endangered wildlife and what pushes them to the brink of extinction.
  • Wildlife Wonders – This program, geared for adult groups, looks at many unique adaptations animals have developed to enable them to survive.
 
Lenape Living

Participants explore the history of the native people that live here in Pennsylvania. Students learn traditional uses of plants and animals as well as play Native American games.

 
Cooperative Games

Challenge yourself! Solving problems in a group can be hard, but definitely rewarding. This class teaches teamwork, problem solving and communication in a fun way. If you have a group that needs more cohesiveness, this is an excellent hands-on program.

 
Star Lab

Let our trained naturalist bring StarLab portable planetarium to your school. We begin the program with a slide show tour through our solar system and then go on to highlight seasonal constellations and their mythology. We offer three unique programs:

  • Night Sky Tour – Seasonal Tour of the Night Sky
  • Stellar Stories – Greek Constellation Mythology
  • Star Trails – Native American Constellation Mythology
