The "Briar Blog" is an extension of information to fill in the gaps between the publication of our seasonal newsletter, the "Briar Flyer," and to highlight some of the great activities and events involving Briar Bush Nature Center. Staff members will post previews and reviews of BBNC events, program updates, tons of photos, related links, and much more! So be sure to visit often for all of the most up-to-date BBNC news.

One hundred years ago, Everett and Florence Griscom discovered the magic and beauty of 12 acres of woodland in Abington Township. Throughout the next half century, they invited friends as well as local children and adults to the sanctuary they fondly named “Briar Bush.” Thousands of visitors later, we proudly celebrate their heritage and the sense of wonder we instill in kids from six months to 101 years old who visit our sanctuary!
